Back in February, while working through my art journal prompts, there was a prompt that really inspired me. So much so, that I wanted to take this to a bigger canvas. And that is what our art journals are for, inspiration and play. And sometimes, there can be a concept that you just have to explore further. this was one of them for me.
Today, I wanted to bring in the Blue's for my color pallets, and really focus on the textures and patterns. So, with these next few layers, it was lots of mark making! Sometimes, I think this is my favorite aspect of abstract art. I love the freedom it provides, and the interesting bits that end up peaking through on the finished product.
And don't worry, there will be more layers of marks, and colors before the end. So be sure to keep checking back.
